Literature Circle Structure
Each week, you are expected to read approximately 1/3 of the book, Three Day Road (see above schedule for page numbers). You must keep a journal of your thoughts as you progress through the reading, keeping track of thoughts, images, feelings, definitions, connections, disturbances, and predictions you are making as you read. This is called a CLOSE READING.
Additionally, you must prepare THREE QUESTIONS which you will submit to your circle for discussion and assessment. As a group, after discussion, you will determine the TOP THREE questions from your group to submit for marks. Make sure everyone's name is on the submission. The more you engage and invest during this process, the better prepared you will be for the final project.
Week One guided reading questions: (given on Thursday Oct 27; jigsawed on Friday Oct 28)
